Rachel Fryer is a sensitive piano player who is known as much for the depth of her musical understanding as her virtuosity. She is equally at home as a soloist, with an orchestra or as an accompanist and has given recitals throughout the UK, including at Croydon’s Fairfield Hall and as part of Live Music Now! Her recordings have been broadcast on Classic FM and on European radio and television, and she is Visiting Lecturer in Piano Studies for the East Sussex Academy of Music.

Rachel has commissioned and curated projects including  Variations Down the Line, commissioning three new variations from five composers based on and interspersed in Bach’s Goldberg Variations: Samuel Becker, Julian Broughton, Michael Finnissy, Alison Kay and Nicola Lefanu.

Currently Rachel is touring with her latest programme: Piano Blues (and other colours) featuring early 20th century composers from the light music and jazz genres including Gershwin, Madeleine Dring, Copland and Billy Mayerl, alongside contemporary composers.
